Our Mission

Young Minds for Mental Health is a blog to raise awareness and reduce stigma through conversation. We want to give a voice to young people in this field and empower them to speak up in their own local communities. This is a perspective that is not typically heard. There is no health without mental health, and we intend to contribute to the recognition of mental health as an issue with a serious global impact.

Our goals are to:

  1. Engage people in conversations about mental health.
  2. Educate on the importance of mental health as a primary and pervasive issue.
  3. Empower young advocates to stand up and make a change in their local communities.

We invite you to submit your own blog posts and engage in conversation by responding to the ones already published. While we encourage uncomfortable conversations, please do so in a respectful manner; we have a zero-tolerance policy for all forms of bullying.

This is a topic that we are passionate about, and we believe that young people deserve a platform to be heard because we are capable of revolutionary change.
